BlueFlame 1.0 has been released. This first release is based on CodeIgniter 1.5.3, and being fully backwards compatible is a drop-in replacement for your /system folder.

I had reports of some users not being able to log into SVN: this was due to the auth database not being properly updated and has been fixed. If you continue to have troubles, please contact me.

There are a few projects created now and just starting to get code and other data in. Thanks to everyone that has offered their support!

CodeIgniter is an excellent light-weight PHP framework for writing applications. It provides an excellent MVC style base with many helper functions and libraries, yet stays out of the way and lets you code the way that you want to.

Because CodeIgniter is so lightweight, it's often criticized for lacking functionality that other frameworks provide, however, this is really a benefit because it means as a developer you can pick and choose the best library or plugin for your project that provides the functionality that you want. There are several database libraries, several ways to provide "AJAX" functionality, several ways to implement user authentication and so on. Not all developers agree on the best way to implement these functions, and indeed many projects have very different requirements.

CIForge is a place for projects designed to enhance or extend the lightweight PHP framework CodeIgniter.

We provide Subversion and Trac hosting, which includes a wiki, bug/issue tracker, roadmap, and integrated change log support and subversion viewer.
